All About Them...

I love reading different books and have shelves full of random selections of books. As of late I have been loving autobiography's. Over the summer I read Mindy Kaling's autobiography Is Everyone Hanging out without me? (and other concerns) and Neil Patrick Harris's Choose your own Autobiography.

Mindy Kaling - Is Everyone Hanging out without me? (and other concerns)

If you follow me on Twitter you will know that I am a little obsessed with The Mindy Project -and Mindy Kaling for that matter- so there is no excuse to why I wouldn't love her book.  There are no bad words to say about her compiled with mini essays about different times in her life autobiography. I loved reading it, giving you a little insight into her life and I was inspired by her even more. If you are a big fan of Mindy Kaling I defiantly advise you to read it you will love it.

I have loved Neil Patrick Harris ever since I started watching How I Met Your Mother all those years ago and I have followed his career ever since. Watching Interviews with him you realise he is actually a really fun guy - can we please be friends Neil? - who's also great at magic tricks... Choose your own autobiography is a little different to most but good all the same. Neil Patrick Harris had written his book in third person so you are the star of his book and you get to choose how your adventure would go... If you wanted to host the Tony's you could go to page 231 or if you wanted to sleep in Cinderella's castle in Disneyland you can go to page 280 - this actually happened you need to read the book to believe it- filled with happy endings, unhappy endings, magic tricks, recipes, cocktail mixes and Love Neil Patrick Harris's book is a page turner and defiantly a must read!

I would love to here some of your favourite autobiographies and recommendations on other great books!

Loving this week

Lately I have been reading From Notting Hill with Love... Actually by Ali McNamara  and the story is about a girl who daydreams about movies, lives her life finding things in life which relate to movies. Everyone in the book is telling her that she should stop daydreaming abut movies because this is real life and that life is not a movie. I can relate to this book so much because I too love finding the movie moments in life and I have been told before that life is not like a movie. This annoys me because these story line must have stemmed from some aspect of the creators life or else there wouldn't be a movie - or TV show for that matter- too shoot. This idea for a movie comes from somewhere weather that be your imagination, your sub-concious relating to something similar that has happened to you therefore stemming a story line from an actual experience... So okay these movies scenarios don't happen in your everyday life- you're not going to be driving in your car and fall in love with the man on the radio talk show talking about how hard it has been since he lost his wife.. or email a complete stranger who just happens unknown to you to be the same man you are at war with only to have been in love with him the whole time-.

So what I'm trying to say is life is what you make it, wether that me in a movie or you just daydreaming about a movie, make your life your own.

Now onto what I'm loving this week

1. Shake It Off - Kelly and Michael

I know Halloween was 3 weeks ago now but I loved the "Shake it off" video which Kelly and Michael did for their Live with Kelly and Michael Halloween Episode. As well as dressing up a various celebrities and characters from TV and Film, the hilarious video also featured a host of celebrity cameos as well as Taylor Swift her self.

Also check out the video of President Obama from the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon singing Shake It Off - President Obama sings Taylor Swift "Shake it Off"

2. Scandal

Lets talk about Scandal firstly I'm obsessed, I started watching it yesterday - I know I'm a little late to the party- and I'm already on season 2 fair to say its addictive. Kerry Washington is amazing as Olivia Pope and how badass is she? I am also loving the chemistry between President Fitz and Olivia - and is it just me or is Fitz actually quite good looking? There is defiantly something which draws you too him- Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn are perfect for the roles and  do a great job of bringing  the affair to life. I can't believe it has took me this long to jump on the Scandal fan bus but I  am officially hooked!

Childhood full of memories!

After seeing College Prepster's blog post on 50 Ideas for Blog Post and number 25 was to put together funny/embarrassing  photos of you that you other wise wouldn't share. So I interpreted that idea in my own way and I decided to put together a collection of photos from when i was younger some of which are very funny....

I loved this tent but every time I went in it made my little hair that I did have go static

This playgroup photo made me look like I was in jail...

Me, my mum and my dad in Holland when I was about 3 or 4.

Responsible parenting at its best....

Dreamt of being a spanish dancer

Pumpkin farm in Holland

Choosing the perfect pumpkin for my carriage to the castle...

Brushing the small hairs I have... and my nana hiding behind the sofa..

My love for hats and nightwear......

Even my nurses outfit matched my outfit...

This is how my dad taught me to act at weddings ....

Yet again appropriate  parenting at its best ..... ( don't worry he bottle is empty)

even then I was destine to be a performer...

Even now I'm still this messy at tea time....

One of my many professions growing up.

Yet again my love for hats and night wear continues....

Apparently I was always cleaning... even now I am always cleaning.

 Me and my Mum!

And me and my Dad!
